After arriving in a night train in the early morning, we will have full two and half days to visit places in and around Krakow. Due to the fact that most places we intend to visit have timed entry times, we like to have some advice from experienced fellow travelers and destination experts about our selected places to visit as below.
In order to avoid being in long queues, we want to book in advance online and all the more reason to hear about how long to allocate for each visit. The other places we like to see but may not be possible due to time constraints in the order of preference are.
We like to hear about time to be allocated, and how to utilise the little time we have to visit these places. Or have we really missed some important place to see. Salt mine including travel would take around 3hrs. The Rynek underground has timed entry slots around mins, again no big queues. You will also have St Mary's Basillica on the square, approx 30 mins. Taken to the chapel the only part worth visiting and sadly you can't just go straight to the chapel and then leave.
I and my friends were bored senseless and asked if we could leave part way through. Sadly the answer was no. Personally visiting Auschwitz or a salt mine is a no brainier. One is known all over the world for the atrocities that sadly took place there whilst the other is known in Krakow for once being a source of salt.
I'm well aware of the atrocities surrounding Auschwitz Karl, and have indeed visited and paid my respects on many occasions. My point however is your flippant and derogatory remarks on the Saltmines. It is obviously an essential part of history and I'm sure many people would find your description offensive.
